Obituary of Glendon Trail
Trail, Glendon (Glen)
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Lawrence Glendon Trail announces his passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Thursday, April 11, 2013.
Glendon was born on August 16, 1932, in Lower Southampton, the only child of the late Wesley and Ada (Christie) Trail.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Adra (McGuire) Trail, and his four children: Katherine Trail Haines (Perry), Angela Davies, Janet Trail (Raymond Cormier), and Christopher (Chris) Trail (Rachelle), as well as grandchildren Kallie and Zachary Haines, Kerris and Brynne Davies, Jillian Trail Fahey and Gwen Trail Cormier, and Ava Trail.
Glendon was employed by the province of New Brunswick for 40 years. He retired in 1993 as Director of Property Management in the Department of Supply and Services. He was a registered property appraiser. His work was his hobby, and he would fondly recount the projects with which he was involved, which took him to all corners of the province.
His family was very important to him, and he especially cherished the times when family members were together for special events and celebrations. He enjoyed the outdoors and spent many happy hours tinkering about his property on his tractor.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Monday, April 15, 2013, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place at Brunswick Street Baptist Church on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Terry Atkinson officiating.
