Dear Elizabeth and Beverley,
my condolences are sent to you and your families on the passing of your Mother.
I can remember when Elizabeth hurt her leg and Marg had to take her to the hospital. While Mum looked after Beverley. That's how Mum and Marg became good friends.
Marg was a giving person. A wonderful lady who will be missed not only by family, but friends and acquaintances she acquired over the many years.
We all can take something from Marg's life, doing a good deed for others everyday.
Love and Prayers,
Shiela Jordan.

Bev, I am so sorry to hear about Grandma Best. I always enjoyed visiting her and indulging in her fudge and cookies, listening to her stories, checking out her tree at Christmas and playing with her dogs. Somehow, we always ended up leaving her house with a bell :) She was a kind and warm hearted woman whom I shall never forget. With love, Kerry

Bev and Elizabeth,
So, so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. She deifinetly was a great lady, who made all newcomers to the village feel so welcome. I remember the days of exams... going to her house during our breaks to study, knowing all along how she would feed us while we were there. She was also one of my first visitors when I had my first child, bearing gifts of food. Always making life easier for someone else.... a great lady. God Bless to you both.

Dear Elizabeth, Bill and Beverly:
As I write this note of condolence, the funeral service for your dear Mother is being conducted. Our thoughts are with you at this sad time, and we can appreciate your feelings and emotions, having gone through the same sad experience just a few months ago with the death of our dear Mother. This last year has seen the passing of the great ladies we all looked up to growing up. Another of the "great old Girls" is gone and we are all the poorer for it.

To the family of Mrs. Best, She was a beautiful lady who had a heart of gold and touched the lives of everyone she met. Stanley was a much better place for having her in it!! I got to see Mrs. Best alot when I was living in Stanley, at Church or when my Mom would have W.I meetings at our place. I always remember visiting her place on Halloween; her homemade fudge for my Sister and Mom and after I got diabetes she would always make me sugar free chocolates, so very thoughful. When my Dad passed away in 2004, there was a snowstorm the next day. We thought we heard a vehicle in the drive way but couldn't imagine who would be out in a storm like that. We look out and it is Billy MacDonald with Mrs. Best. She could hardly see over the dash of the truck. My Mom, went out to thank her so much and ask her what she was doing out in that kind of weather. Mrs. Best smiled and said I had to come over and see you and bring you a casserole and homemade biscuits. We never ever forgot that. A genuine little lady that will never ever be forgotten. Our deepest sympathies, Corry Ellen, Troy and Megan

Our deepest sympathies are extended to you and your dear families at the passing of your Mom.
What a wonderful lady she was!!!
So kind -- so compassionate -- so helpful --so sweet! I remember going to your home sometimes at noon hour and the love she showed to anyone who came.
We'll never forget the beautiful wedding cake she made for us on our special day. Not only did it look lovely, but it tasted as good as it looked!!
And NO ONE could make fudge like your Mom -- which was given to us often when we were pastoring in Cross Creek! She was a wonderful example of what a true Christian lady should be. And now she's got the ultimate reward -- life with Jesus her Saviour!! Praise God that we will see her again!!
We will be praying for you all!! With love, Terry and Mary

Firstly, sincerest condolences to the entire family but especially to Beverley and Elizabeth.
Sadly, my life path took me ever further away from NB and any opportunity to visit with Aunt Marg. Yet, over the decades, we still kept in touch through our annual exchange of Christmas cards which would always include a summary of what events had occurred in our lives the past year. Little did I know that 2012 would be the last of these. But, I can tell you this. I will forever continue to send a card each year in my heart.
God bless you Aunt Marg. Rest in peace.
