Obituary of Mary Logan
The passing of Mary Loraine (Gourley) Logan of Stanley, NB, wife of the late Ernest Logan, occurred on Friday, March 29, 2013 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital with family by her side. Born on January 14, 1939 in North Tay, NB she was a daughter of the late Byron and Mary (PeterPaul) Gourley. Loraine was an artist who enjoyed painting, carving, traveling and was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was affiliated with both St. Patrick’s and St. Joseph’s Catholic Churches.
Loraine is survived by five children, Guy Logan (Shelley) with their three daughters, Jessica (Wayne), Michelle (Mike) and Stephanie, Mary Beaulieu (Normand) with their five daughters, Chantal, Melanie, Melissa, Emily and Janelle, Joanne Colford (Ronnie) with their three children, Angela (Richard), Cody and Dakota, Melody O’Neill (Jim) with their two children, Julie (Ryan), Christopher (Cassandra), Laura MacFarlane (Andy) with their six children, Michael (Allison), Samantha (Aaron), Jennie, Heather, Sarah and Amy; twelve great grandchildren, Kylie, Kyle, Abigail, Jordan, Claire, Tanner, Kailey, Briella, Jason, Leighton, Michaela and Bryden; siblings, Margaret Burns (Charles), Byron Gourley (Dorothy), Faye Gilmore and Gloria Logan (Gerald); several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, Loraine was predeceased by a granddaughter, Amanda; and brother-in-law, Clair Gilmore.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Stanley, NB on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 11 am with Father Aaron Knox and Rev. Dr. Michael McGowan as celebrants. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Tay Creek in the spring. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Just Friends Food Bank, Stanley, St. Patrick’s Church Building Fund or a charity of the donor’s choice.
