Obituary of Claude Humby
The unexpected passing of Claude Murdock Humby of Stanley, NB, husband of Donna (Snowdon) Humby occurred on Sunday, March 24, 2013, at his home. Born on June 19, 1939 in Saint John, NB, he was the son of the late Wallace and Mary (Babcock) Humby. Claude was a highly respected machinist who owned and operated his own machine shop (Stellar Enterprises Ltd.) for over 40 years. He was a member of the Canadian Air Force from 1958-1964. Claude loved the outdoors, reading, walking and being active; he always had a hunger for knowledge.
In addition to his wife of 43 years, Claude is survived by his daughter, Terrianne Humby; brother, James Humby (Betty); sisters, Freida Needle (Dale) and Sharron McKenney (Donald); several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, March 28, 2013 from 7-9 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Friday, March 29, 2013 at 11 am with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, remembrance may be made to the New Brunswick Lung Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
