Obituary of Frank Veno

The passing of Frank Joseph Veno, husband of June (Morehouse) Veno, occurred on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at his home. Born on October 16, 1923 in Weaver Siding, NB, he was the son of the late George and Esther (Colford) Veno. Frank was a mechanic at Ashfields Volvo and AMC. He was a member of Devon Park Baptist Church. Frank enjoyed bowling and played in the Marysville Seniors Men’s League. In addition to his wife, Frank is survived by his children, Brian (Joy), Donna Phillips (Gary Hill) and Keith (Kate) all of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Jeremy and Jennifer Veno, Amber Ricard and June Hartley; great grandchildren, Leah Ricard, Darian and David Hartley; sister, Leona Sutherland (Ben) of Blissfield, NB; brothers-in-laws; sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his great grandson, Timmy Mitchell; sisters, Evelyn Tucker, Grace Colford and Helen O’Donnell and brother, Ralph Veno. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, March 22, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 11am with Pastor Rob Burns officiating. Interment will take place in Sunny Bank Cemetery at a later date.
