Obituary of Rachel Ross

Beloved wife and mother, Rachel Armine Ross of Fredericton, NB, was called to her heavenly home on Monday, January 28, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on August 19, 1944 in Bettsburg, NB, she was the daughter of the late Holly and Lorena (Carr) Brown. Rachel graduated from Geary High School, Atlantic Business College and then went on to a 35 year bookkeeping career at Hanson Hashey Law Offices. She was a member of the Marysville Baptist Church, Women’s Missionary Society, Ladies Bible Studies, Seniors Group, Micmac Trailer Club and Good Sam Club. Rachel enjoyed traveling, walking, loved the outdoors and RVing. In addition to her husband, H. Murray Ross, Rachel is survived by her daughter, Heather Holt (Eugene) of Douglas, NB; grandson, Bradley Holt (Samantha Adkins) of Petawawa, ON; great grandchildren, Rylan and Liam; brothers, Charles Brown (partner Jerry) of Washademoak Lake, NB and Gerald Brown (Phyllis) of Swan Creek, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sister, Gertrude Bell and an infant brother. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, January 31, 2013 from 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Marysville Baptist Church on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 2 pm with Rev. Dr. Peter Sherwood officiating. Interment will take place in Cameron Hill Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Marysville Baptist Church.
