Obituary of Neil Vass

The passing of Neil Edward Vass, fiancée of Starr Perley, and stepfather to Lexa, Oryan, and Triton, occurred on Monday, December 17, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton NB. Born on March 24, 1980 in Southampton, UK, he was the son of Terence and Christine Vass. Neil worked as Assistant Outlets Manager at the Crowne Plaza, Fredericton. In addition to his parents and fiancée, Neil is survived by his sisters; Lauren and Siobhan, brothers; Patrick, Ian and Laurence, nieces; Emily, Alice, Lily, Erin and Daisy and nephews; Dale, Thomas and George, all of the UK. Neil was known to show nothing but genuine love. ‘Bestfriend’, ‘Loving father’, ‘Tower of strength’, ‘Legend’, and ‘Soulmate’ are some of the words that were used to describe Neil. It is overwhelming to know just how much a short life of 32 years held meaning to the paths of everyone he crossed. We will forever be grateful for his genuine love. In the Maliseet language, there is no word for goodbye, for we know that we will all eventually be reunited. So we will finish with the Maliseet phrase ‘Apc-oc Knomiyal’; Meaning ‘We will see you again’. Koselomul (I love you) x There will be a private service by request.
