Obituary of Francis Brewer

The passing of Francis “Mike” Brewer of Fredericton, NB, husband of June Brewer, occurred on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born on September 17, 1927 in Burtts Corner, NB, he was the son of the late Donovan and Ena (McAdam) Brewer. Francis worked as a painter, in the business he co-owned. He was a member of the Cornerstone Bible Church, where he was a past deacon. He loved walking, snowshoeing, reading and fishing. Most of all he thought the world of his daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed teasing them too. In addition to his wife, June, Francis is survived by his daughters, Linda Taylor (Robin) of Halifax, NS, Ann Marie Brewer of New Glasgow, NS, and Patricia Brewer (Brian Agnew) of Moncton, NB; grandchildren, Shannon, Jeremy, and Ryan; great grandchildren, Joshua, and Kaitlin; sisters-in-law, Freda Brewer of Thunder Bay, ON and Edith Gallagher of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Robert Brewer and sister, Margaret Burtt. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Saturday, December 15, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Cornerstone Bible Church, Burtts Corner, NB on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at 2 pm with Pastor Stephen Matthews officiating. Interment will be in Burtts Corner Community Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Fredericton Hospice, Burtts Corner Community Cemetery, or Extra Mural Hospital.
