Obituary of Linda McDonald

The passing of Linda D. Gould McDonald of Fredericton, NB, wife of David McDonald occurred on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on June 11, 1946 in Amherst, NS, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Gladys (Beaton) Tooke. Linda worked as the Director of the Forest Products Commission for the New Brunswick Department of Natural Resources. She was a past member of the Rotary Club, Zonta and Children’s Wish Foundation. In addition to her husband, Linda is survived by son, Blaine Anthony Gould; chosen son, Wesley Craig Hatfield; stepsons, Peter Stanley Gould, Barry Gould, and Brian Gould; stepdaughter, Reva Grace Grey; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Glendon Ross Tooke, and Alex Blair Tooke; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband Stan Gould; brother, Ralph Francis Tooke; sister, Penny Lynn Colpitts. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, December 14, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 2 pm. Interment will take place at the Trumanville Cemetery, NS at a later date.
