Obituary of Ruth Munn

Munn, Ruth Louise The passing of Ruth Louise Munn of Stanley, NB, wife of the late Eugene R. Munn, occurred Sunday, November 18, 2012 at the Nashwaak Villa, Stanley, NB. Born on October 14, 1918 in Ward Settlement, NB, she was the daughter of the late Angus R. and Margaret (Gilmore) MacMillan. Ruth attended the Hillcrest United Church and enjoyed quilting, crafts and social events. She was involved with the Women’s Institute, UCW, Stanley Golden Age Club and was a choir member. Ruth is survived by her daughter, Anne Sherrard (Larry) of Lower Coverdale, NB; son, Allan E. Munn (Lottie) of Stanley, NB; grandchildren, Joy Pinnock (Mike), Jalaine MacKay (Gardner), Travis Munn (Kathy), Trevor Munn (Rose), Shelley Baxter (Barry), Jeff Munn (Sheri), Jonathan Sherrard (Carole) and Ashley Kelly (Shawn); great grandchildren, Jaime, Tyler, Mallory, Morgan, Cecile, Cameron, Blake, Shelby, Jade, Evan, Garrett, Blake and Charlotte; great great granddaughter, Georgia; special nephew, Robert Kerton (Pat) of Fredericton, NB. Besides her husband and parents, Ruth was predeceased by her son, Irvine Munn; sisters, Jean Burden, Beth Pringle, Claire Cronkhite, Mildred Kerton and Netta Wagner; brother, Angus E. MacMillan. Although there will be no visitation, a Memorial Service will take place at the Hillcrest United Church in Stanley, NB, on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at 2 pm with Wally Ellis (DLM) officiating and Rev. Murray McFarlane assisting. Interment will take place at the Hillcrest United Church Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Hillcrest United Church Cemetery, Kidney Foundation of Canada or a charity of the donor’s choice.
