Obituary of Edwin Haines
The passing of Edwin “Ed” Austin Haines of Fredericton, NB, partner of Cindy Hunter, occurred Saturday, November 17, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on October 27, 1948 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Austin and Maxine (Jones) Haines. He worked as a Milkman for Northumberland Dairy. Ed was a member of the Keswick Baptist Church, he enjoyed watching NASCAR, time spent at Speedway 660, playing crib, bowling and spending time with friends and family.
In addition to his partner, Ed is survived by his daughter, Elaine Lovell (Clint) of Calgary, AB; son, Brad Haines (Terri-Lee Bubar) of Fredericton, NB; stepdaughters, Allison and Ashley Hunter of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Jeremy, Derrick, Dexter, Nathan, Ayla, Brayden, Chase, Khol, Kyler, Addyson, Zakk and Zoey; sister, Judy LeBlanc (Donnie) of Keswick Ridge; brother, Peter Haines (Sheila) of Fredericton, NB; mother-in-law Patricia Hunter of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place Monday, November 19, 2012 at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 2 pm with Pastor Bev Jewett officiating. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Down Syndrome Society.
