Obituary of Benjamin Collins

The passing of Benjamin “Ben” John Eldridge Collins of Edmonton, AB, occurred suddenly on Sunday, September 16, 2012. Born on September 28, 1989 in Pointe Claire, QC, he was the son of Ken Collins (Debbie) and Kelley Huskins (Vernon). Ben was a graduate from Fredericton High School, Class of 07. He was a Staffing Consultant for Randstad. Ben loved all things football, including being a member of the 2004 Maritime Championship Team the FHS BLACKATS and being an avid fan. In additions to his parents, Ben is survived by his sister, Stacey Collins of Montreal, QC; brothers, Aaron Huskins of Fredericton, NB and Christopher Collins of Montreal, QC, paternal grandmother, Agnes Collins of Nanaimo, BC; maternal grandparents, Eldridge and Catherine Huskins; aunts and uncles, Rick Huskins (Joan) of Fredericton, NB and their sons, Thomas and Daniel; John Collins of Nanaimo, BC, Jim Collins of Montreal, QC and Linda Collins of Vancouver, BC; aunt, Cheryl Fraser (Mike) of Elk Grove, CA and their family; several cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, John Collins. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, September 21, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Evangel Pentecostal Assembly, 705 Maple Street, Fredericton, NB on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 2 pm with Rev. Duane Collicott officiating. Interment will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Rick Huskins in trust for Ben Collins or the Canadian Cancer Society.
