Obituary of Terry McDonald
The passing of Terry Leigh McDonald of Fredericton, NB, wife of Pastor Normand McDonald occurred on Monday, September 3, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, following a brief illness. Born on February 2, 1947 in Moncton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Elaine (Canning) Carter. Terry was an active and devoted member of the Corbett Avenue Wesleyan Church where she participated in and supported her husband’s ministry. She was also a member of the Fredericton Neuropathy Support Group for several years. Terry loved all animals but held a special place in her heart for cats. She will be remembered as someone who loved to cook, clean and do laundry. She loved to laugh, and will be remembered for her kind and generous spirit.
In addition to her husband, Terry is survived by her son, Chris Robinson of Fredericton, NB; sister, Sherry (John) Britton of Moncton, NB; brother, Bruce (Annette) Carter of Murray Corner, NB; mother-in-law, Edith McDonald; sisters-in-law, Bernice Vinacco and Jeannine Goguen; nieces, Shelly, Tammy, Tracy, Jodie and Amanda; nephews, Kevin, Jason, Nicholas and Matthew; great nieces and nephews, Liam, Emily, Julie, Jeremy, Kate, Zoe, Jaxon, Hayden and Ero, all of whom she adored; Life Long friends, Gail Ramsey and Nancy Riley; feline companion, Timmy. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Dale Robinson; feline companions, Cindy and Jerry.
Visitation will take place at Corbett Avenue Wesleyan Church on Thursday, September 6, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place from the church on Friday, September 7, 2012 at 11 am with Rev. A.J. Plaizier, Rev. Peter Thomas and Rev. John Symonds officiating. Visitation will take place at Fair Haven Funeral Home, Moncton, NB on Friday, September 7, 2012 from 7-9 pm. Interment will take place at Fair Haven Cemetery on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 10 am.
