Obituary of Quincy Grant

The passing of Quincy Eugene Grant of Fredericton, formerly of Mactaquac, NB, husband of Evelyn Grant, occurred on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on November 02, 1935 in Southampton, NB, he was the son of the late Eugene and Evelene (Murdoch) Grant. Quincy was a retired automotive salesman and was a member of St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church. In addition to his wife, Quincy is survived by his daughter, Sister Shelley Grant, CND of Penticton, BC; sons, Michael Grant (Nyla) of Central Hainesville, Kirby (Karen) Grant of Fredericton, NB; four grandchildren, Matthew, Adam, Treicha and Madison; one sister, Kathleen Christie of Temperance Vale, NB and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at 11am with Father John Jennings as celebrant. Interment will take place in the Mactaquac Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Canadian Red Cross, Extra Mural Program or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
