Obituary of Amedee Gryson

Gryson, Amedee “Andy” Joseph The passing of Amedee “Andy” Joseph Gryson, husband of the late Evelyn (Joudrey) Gryson of Fredericton, occurred Tuesday, August 07, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 13, 1923 in Bray-Dunes, France he was the son of the late Henri Louis Gryson and Aline Eugénie Bryckaert. He was part of the Canadian Armed Forces and worked as a merchant seaman. Andy was a mechanic that liked to read up on the newest technology in cars. He loved going for “coffee” with Jim which took them to places like Miramichi Lake, visiting local restaurants for a piece of pie along the way. He also enjoyed his many outings on the Ste. Anne’s court bus, and loved to tease and joke. Andy is survived by his granddaughter, Mandy MacKinnon (Wayne) and great grandchildren Alex, Emily and Suzanne. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Thursday, August 09, 2012 from 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Friday, August, 10, 2012 at 2 pm with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Interment will take place in Nova Scotia at a later date.
