Obituary of Barry Burke

The passing of Barry Joseph Burke of Fredericton, NB, formerly of Borden, PE, husband of Janet (Reddick) Burke, occurred on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 in Nashwaak Village, NB. Born on March 13, 1960 in Charlottetown, PE, he was the son of Yvonne (Gallant) Burke and the late Charles Burke. He was a member of the NBSFA, Fredericton Fishing Club and St. Mary’s Baseball League. Barry retired from B and B, Marine Atlantic; He loved hunting and fishing and spent many years as a fishing guide. Barry was a loving husband and great friend, truly Janet’s soul mate. In addition to his mother and wife, Barry is survived by his son, Tye Burke (Kaitlyn Munn) of Fredericton, NB; siblings, Blair of Victoria, BC, Thane and Kevin both of Borden, PE, Colleen (Mike) Hammill of Cornwall, PE and Kim of Nova Scotia; a niece, many nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, August 3, 2012 from 6-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 11 am with Father Monte Peters as celebrant.
