Obituary of Carl Forsberg
The passing of Carl Gustaf Fredrik Forsberg of Fredericton, NB, husband of Ruth Morrison, occurred on Thursday, July 19, 2012, at his home. Born on May 17, 1951 in Madrid, Spain, he was the son of the late Lars Forsberg and Rose-Marie Forsberg (Jean-Mairet). He worked for the University of New Brunswick in Technical Support. Carl was a member of the St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church and was chair of the Lutherplace Apartment Inc. He had a special interest in technology, enjoyed cooking, outdoor activities and most of all family..
In addition to his wife, Carl is survived by three daughters, Kristina Tardif (Jean-Francois Tardif), Joy Prescesky (Jay Allison) and Jennifer Collishaw (William Collishaw); three sons, Lars-Erik Forsberg (Erica Forsberg), Steven Forsberg and Peter Prescesky (Danelle Prescesky); nine grandchildren, Erik Forsberg, Hunter Tardif, Xavier Tardif, Landon Collishaw, Anna Watts, Gordon Collishaw, Zachary Allison, Noah Allison and Rhiannon Allison; two sisters, Margarita Forsberg (Luis Soberon) and Monica Forsberg (Hugo Palomino); three brothers, Erik Forsberg (Maria Forsberg), Lars Forsberg (Carmen Ghio) and Patrik Forsberg (Stacey Wilson-Forsberg); and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Monday, July 23, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 1 pm with Rev. Doug Moore officiating. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Extra Mural Program (Palliative Care) or St. Matthews Lutheran Church (Lutherplace Apartment Inc.)
