Obituary of Margaret Drew

The death of Margaret Ellen Drew of Fredericton, NB occurred Monday, July 9, 2012 at her home. Born on June 18, 1938 in Lunenburg, NS, she was the daughter of Rev. Karl and Edna (Higgs) Drew. Margaret graduated from Petitcodiac High School in 1956 and then went to Mount Allison where she received at B.Sc. Degree in 1960. She worked as a Research Technician for the Department of Agricultural Experimental Farm. After her retirement, Margaret cared for her mother and will be remembered for her kind heart and generosity. Margaret also enjoyed research in genealogy. Margaret is survived by her sister, Helen (Dr. Donald) Woods of Houlton, ME; nieces, Amy (Wally) Metherell and their daughter, Mary Drew and May (Joe) Knights and their daughters, Holly and Kristine (Jim) Storey; nephew, Dr. Karl (Lisa) and sons, Cody and Robby. Besides her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her nephew, Randy Woods. A Memorial Service will take place at Gibson Memorial United Church on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 11 am with Rev. Bob Jones officiating. Interment will take place in Elmwood Cemetery, 200 Elmwood Drive, Moncton, NB. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
