Obituary of Carl McLaggan
The sudden passing of Carl Thomas McLaggan, age 44, of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Friday, June 24, 2011 at home. Born on June 9, 1967 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Sheridan and Nancy (Nickerson) McLaggan. In his earlier years, Carl was an auto detailer at Clark Chevrolet Cadillac and O’Leary Buick GMC, he also did body work at Dead End Collision. He was passionate about woodworking, hunting, fishing, restoring old vehicles and muscle cars, Carl especially loved Volkswagon Bugs.
Carl is survived by the two loves of his life, his cherished daughters, Katelyn MacDonald (Charles Gallant) of Hinton, AB and Amanda McWade (Billy Doiron) of Stanley, NB; sister, April Hawkins (Christopher) of Fredericton, NB and their children, Carly, Taylor, Michael and Alexander; brothers, Corey McLaggan (Trudy) of Fredericton, NB and their children, Kyle and Alicia McLaggan and Roy McLaggan (Rose) of Fredericton, NB and their daughter, Katie; maternal grandmother, Hilda Nickerson; step mother, Bina McLaggan and her children, Kerry Saunders and Esther Saunders and her children, Mark, Shawn and Eric Lowther; several aunts, uncles and more friends than you could count. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Victor Nickerson and paternal grandparents, Carl and Joyce McLaggan.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 from 12-2 pm followed by a Memorial service at 2 pm with Pastor Douglas Moore officiating. Interment will take place in Rockland Cemetery, McAdam, NB. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association – Diabetes Clinic Regent Street, Fredericton, NB.
