Obituary of Wayne Wilson

The passing of Wayne “Weiner” Eric Wilson of Stanley, NB, occurred on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at home. Born on March 9, 1951 in Stanley, NB, he was the son of Althea (Merritt) Wilson and the late Wilfred Wilson. He was a self employed woods worker and owned and operated Bartlett’s Garage. Weiner was an avid Bulldogs fan in Stanley, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, camping and was a real outdoors person. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Wanda Wilson-Maher (Joey) of Maple Grove, NB; grandchildren, Tamara and Nathan; sisters, Valerie Waugh (Harold) of Fredericton, NB; brothers, Carl Wilson (Heather) of Williamsburg, NB; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will take at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Hillcrest United Church, Stanley, NB on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at 2 pm with Mr. Wally Ellis (DLM). Pallbearers for the service will be Irvine Humble, Irvine Wilson, Todd Higgins, Gerald Logan, Richard Sparkes and Doug Bird. Interment will take place at Hillcrest United Church Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the IWK Children’s Hospital, Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice.
