Obituary of Kathleen Taylor
The passing of Kathleen “Kay” M. Taylor, formerly of Carmen Ave, Barkers Point, NB, wife of the late David John Taylor occurred at York Manor Nursing Home, Fredericton, NB on Friday, June 24, 2011. Kay was born in Nashwaaksis, NB on February 8, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Beverley Barnett and the late Jane (Staples) Ferris. Kay was a member of the Capital Community Church, Marysville, NB.
She is survived by three daughters, Margaret Ivey of Kitchener, ON, Jean Robichaud of Marysville, NB and Linda Pitts of Barkers Point, NB; four sons, David (Cathy) of Greenfield, NB, Robert (Corinne) of Fredericton, NB, John (Joan) of Barkers Point, NB and Richard (Karen) of St. Catherine’s, ON; brother, Ed Ferris (Gertrude) of Marysville, NB, as well as numerious grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, Kay was predeceased by sons, Michael (infant), James and Brian; sisters, Lillian (infant), Viola Newman, Gladys Ramsay, Alice McFarland, Margaret Saunders, Queenie Phillips and Lucy Haines and brothers, Lewis and Hazen Barnett.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Monday, June 27, 2011 from 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at the Capital Community Church, 71 Downing Street, Marysville, NB on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 2 pm with Pastor Raymond Woodward officiating and Pastor Jack Leaman assisting. Reception will follow. Pallbearers for the service will be Hazen Haines, Beverly McFarlane, Brandon Moss, Jim Taylor, Lloyd Taylor and Danny Hoyt. Interment will take place in the Dayton Cemetery, Fredericton, NB. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
