Obituary of Roy Gallagher

The passing of Roy Carter Asa Gallagher Jr. of Fredericton, NB, fiancée of Deanna Nason occurred on Thursday, June 23, 2011. Born on April 10, 1984 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of “Dagon” Rosemary Paul and Roy Carter Gallagher (Sherry Nicholson). He was a self employed Logger with Gallagher’s Loggers. Roy enjoyed dirt biking, four wheeling, hunting, fishing, bow hunting and spending time with his friends and family. In addition to his parents and fiancée, Roy is survived by his son, Brody Joseph Roy Gallagher; daughter, Ciara Rain Paul; sisters, Helen St. Laurent, Shyann Lyons (James Long), Bridgette Morton (Joey), Loretta Gallagher, Madeline Gallagher (Vaughn Fields) and Star Ratko; brothers, Jason Gallagher (Catherine Brooks) and Roger Leblanc; grandmother, Edith Gallagher; grandfather, Ronald Paul; foster parents, Pat and Irene Collins; special uncle, Eugene Gallagher; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many great friends. Roy was predeceased by his brother, Carter Gallagher; grandmother, Margaret Rose Paul; grandfather, Milford Gallagher; step grandmother, Mary Gallagher; great great grandmother, Julia Nash; great great grandfather, Edward Isaac Paul. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Sunday, June 26, 2011 from 7-9 pm and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 2 pm with Father Monte Peters officiating. Pallbearers for this service are: Derek Collins, Peter Pugh, Justin Wright, Jacob Wright, Carson Jr. Brewer and Roger LeBlanc. Interment will take place in Seymour Memorial Cemetery.
