Obituary of James Hersey

The passing of James ‘Jim” Howard Hersey of Fredericton, NB, husband of Helen Dale (Anthony) Hersey occurred after a lengthy illness, on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at home. Born on August 8, 1935 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of the late Donald and Hazel (Price) Hersey. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Dale Hersey (Susan Guitard) of Hanwell, NB; daughter, Terri Lynn Hersey of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Corey Hersey (Krista Tait) of Fredericton, NB, Kristin Hersey of Bel Air, Maryland, USA and Matthew Holland of Tay Creek, NB; sister, Donna (Marvin) Lyons of McNamee, NB; brother, Frank (Margaret) Hersey of Nashwaak Village, NB; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. The visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Sunday, June 26, 2011 from 2-4 pm. A Private Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel with Rev. Doug Blaikie officiating. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
