Obituary of David Dorcas

The passing of David Bruce Dorcas of Maugerville, NB, occurred on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at the Toronto General Hospital. Born on February 15, 1952 in Stanley, NB, he was the son of the late Bruce and Nora (Baker) Dorcas. David loved his friends, family and especially his children and grandchildren. David is survived by his son, Christopher Dorcas (Angel) of Owen Sound, ON; daughter, Susan Dorcas of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Andrew Dorcas-Smith, Ryan Dorcas-Lemieux, Domanic Dorcas, Danté Dorcas, Kyle Dorcas, Jessica Dorcas and Kaitlyn Hoyt; sisters, Dianne Brittany-Dixon (John) of Fredericton, NB and Cheryl Reid (Danny) of Williamsburg, NB; special nieces and nephew, Shawn Brittany (Rachel), Lindsay Carter (Mike), Shannon Brittany-Pollock (Jonathan) and Krista Scott (Trevor). Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Sunday, June 5, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A Funeral Service will take place from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Monday, June 6, 2011 at 2pm with Mr. Wally Ellis (DLM) officiating. Honorary pallbearers for this service will be: Shawn Brittany, Michael Carter, Jonathan Pollock, Trevor Scott, Bob Henderson, Ron Harris and Raymond Garrity.
