Obituary of Beulah "Evelyn" O'Donnell

The passing of Beulah “Evelyn” (Clowater) O’Donnell, wife of the late Russell O’Donnell, of Ludlow, occurred on May 24, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on June 7, 1932 in Porter Cove, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Ella Mae (Smith) Clowater. Evelyn was a member of St. James the Greater Anglican Church, member of the Royal Canadian Legion and of the ACW. She enjoyed knitting, quilting and spending time with her grandchildren. Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Ella Mae (George) Vickers of Prince George, BC, Aleatha “Jane” (Elwood) Gibson of Taxis River and Mary (Calvin) Martin of Fredericton; three sons, David (Dorothy) of Hines Creek, AB, Darrell (Catherine Baldwin) of AB and Daniel of Prince George, BC; grandchildren, Leigh, Travis, Matthew, Tabitha and Danielle O’Donnell, Lana and Steven Vickers, Benjamin and Laurel Gibson and Jacob Martin; great grandchildren, Austin and Hunter O’Donnell, Isabella Kossler, Russell and Hayden Vickers; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her grandchildren, Randy and Cheryl O’Donnell; sisters, Estella Palmer, Clara Palmer, Faye Palmer, Alma Hunter and Leona Clowater; brothers, Darold, Ernest, Everett, Roy, Eldon, Bennett and William. Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, 7681 Route 8, New Bandon on Thursday, May 26, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from St. James the Greater Anglican Church, Ludlow on Friday, May 27, 2011 at 2 pm with Father Andrew Fraser officiating. Interment will take place at the church cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
