Obituary of Carmen Brown
Surrounded by her family, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, the passing of Carmen Heather (Hunter) Brown of Fredericton, NB, wife of Roger Brown, occurred on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on July 18, 1957 in Bloomfield Ridge, NB, she was the daughter of Laurence and Izella Hunter. She graduated from Woodstock Community College in 1976. She was the Business Manager for Damien’s Electronics’. Carmen’s greatest joy was the time she got to spend with her grand kids. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School, watching Nascar, travelling with Roger throughout the province of NB and beyond, reading, home renovations, broomball, she also had a soft spot for animals and loved her teddy bears. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents and husband, Carmen is survived by her son, Damien Roger Brown (Erica Norrad); grandchildren, Lucas Damien and Cameron Riley Brown; sister, Nadine Anheliger; brother, Graham (Beth) Hunter; in-laws, Murray (Emma) Brown, Nancy (Gary) Polllick, Annette (Monte) Price, Sheila (Alfred) Barker, Imelda (Steve) Wilmot and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Jeff Anheliger.
Visitation will take place Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, New Bandon on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 12:30 pm until time of the Memorial Service at 2 pm with Rev. Gordon Green officiating. A reception will follow at the Boiestown Lions Club. Honourary Pallbearers will be Joe Hunter, Doug Guitard, Rodney MacLellan, Kent MacKay and Derek Black.
