Obituary of Stephen MacLeod

The passing of Stephen Donald MacLeod of Porter Cove, NB, husband of Lorraine (Young) MacLeod, occurred on Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at home with his family by his side. Born on November 2, 1956 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of Harry MacLeod (Shirley) and the late Della (Calhoun) MacLeod. He was a Sawyer at the Ashley Colter Mill. He was a member of the 301 Valley Dart League; an avid bingo player and enjoyed playing his guitar and writing songs. In addition to his wife, Stephen is survived by his daughter, Stephanie MacLeod (Jody) of Porter Cove, NB and son, Darren MacLeod (Falon) of Cartier, ON; grandchildren, Keiara, Porter, Marah and Keiona. Visitation will take place at Miramichi Valley Funeral Home on Thursday, April 7, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Gateway of Hope Assembly on Friday, April 8, 2011 at 2 pm with Rev. Wade Bradford officiating. Interment will take place in Parkers Ridge Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Liver Association or the charity of the donor’s choice.
