Obituary of Willoe Shannon

The passing of Willoe Shannon of Saint John, NB, occurred on Sunday, July 31, 2011 at the Loch Lomand Villa. Born on April 13, 1937 in Bath, NB, he was a son of the late Gordon and Hazel (Holmes) Shannon. Willoe was employed at the Victoria Public Hospital until his illness. He enjoyed spending time with his brothers and their families. He was an avid country music fan. Willoe is survived by his brothers, Keith (Alberta) Shannon of Fredericton, NB, Dale (Rebecca) Shannon of Dorchester, NB and Galen (Teresa) Shannon of Woodstock, NB; aunts, Laura Meagher of Newport, ME and Hazel Goodine of Plaster Rock, NB; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Willoe was predeceased by his son, Anthony Shannon; grandparents, Gordon and Elzina (DeMerchant) Holmes and Frederick and Bertha (Mulherin) Shannon and good friend, Willis Price. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Thursday, August 4, 2011 from Noon until 2 followed by a service at 2 with Rev. Lona Johnston officiating.
