Obituary of Harold Barton

The passing of Harold “Cannon” Leslie Barton of Fredericton, NB, husband of Cherlynn Forbes, occurred on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 20, 1933 in Minto, NB he was the son of the late Clarence and Ellen (Ferris) Barton. In addition to his wife, Harold is survived by his children, Dwain Barton (Joanne) of Minto, NB, Gloria Jones (Steven) of Minto, NB, Coleen Chretien of Ottawa, ON, Elliott Barton (Gail) of Toronto, ON and Brooks Barton (Marilyn) of Toronto, ON; two step daughters, Misty Denton and Tabby Crawford; siblings, Celia LeBlanc, Harry Barton (Lynn) and Carry Barton (Linda); several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Cannon was predeceased by his parents; two infant sons; siblings, Fred Barton, Clarence Barton Jr., Lilly Barton and Clara McAllister. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, June 1, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Christian Community Church, Minto, NB on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 2 pm with Rev. David Williston officiating. Interment will take place in the Church Cemetery.
