Obituary of Beverley Bate

The passing of Beverley James “Bev” Bate of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on November 12, 1931 in New Mills, NB, he was the son of the late Harold and Theresa (Miller) Bate. He retired from Simms Home Hardware in 1994. Bev was an associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4. In addition to his partner, Bette Tucker, Bev is survived by his children, Brenda Yerxa, Marsha Strickland, Edith Palmer, Andrea Arbeau and James Bate; Bette’s daughter, Nancy Allen; sisters, Audrey Miller and Barbara Dore; brother, Bill Bate; several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Jocelyn Young. There will be no services by request.
