Obituary of Mike Schmidt

The passing of Mike Schmidt of Douglas, NB, occurred on Friday, August 19, 2011 at Upper Kingsclear, NB. Born on October 27, 1990 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of Joe and Helga Schmidt. He was apprenticing as a Dental Technician at the Royal Dental Laboratory. He liked to play hockey and enjoyed music. Mike was a great friend to all who knew him and will be remembered as one who enjoyed life to the fullest. In addition to his parents, Mike is survived by his son, Riley George Durelle Schmidt and his mom, Jacqueline Durelle; brother, Marc Schmidt (Stacey); uncle, Uwe Kuester (Beate) and cousin, Flo Kuester; girlfriend, Ellie Carleton and his grandmother, aunts, uncles and cousins in Germany. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Douglas Baptist Church on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at 1 pm with Rev. Peter Moore officiating with Rev. Kay Clowater assisting. Pallbearers are Marc Schmidt, Flo Kuester, Chris Chevarie, Steven Fairley, Scott Wilson and J.J. Hafford. Interment will take place in Dayton Cemetery.
