Obituary of William Brideau

The passing of William Joseph Brideau of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Sunday, September 25, 2011 at home. Born on July 29, 1938 in Tracadie, NB, he was the son of the late Israel and Clementine Brideau. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church. He was a woodsworker. William loved the outdoors; he enjoyed fishing and picking fiddleheads. William is survived by one son and two daughters; one grandson; sister, Alphonsina Thibodeau of Doaktown, NB; brother, Come Brideau (Bertha) and Leon Brideau (Lois Whitlock) all of Fredericton, NB; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Joseph; siblings, Wilfred, Israel, Madeline, Jean Claude, Aldora, infant Delbert, Alfreda and infant Freda; brother-in-law, Basil. A visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 11 am with Father Aaron Knox as celebrant.
