Obituary of Constance Legere

After a lengthy battle with diabetes and dialysis, Constance Jean “Connie” (Gallagher) Legere of Lincoln, NB, wife of Richard Legere, passed away on September 22, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, with her loving family at her side. Born on December 11, 1945 in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Mary (Kervin) Gallagher. She was affiliated with St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church. Connie enjoyed knitting, crocheting and cooking. In addition to her loving husband of 42 years, Richard, Connie is survived by her daughter, Tracy (Danny) Legere of Lincoln, NB; granddaughter, Mary-Jane Legere (Peter) of Rusagonis, NB; great grandson, Peter Legere Warren; brother, Robert Gallagher (Irene) of Fredericton, NB; sister-in-law, Joyce Gallagher of Fredericton, NB; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Gary. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Sunday, September 25, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Monday, September 26, 2011 at 2 pm with Father Monte Peters as celebrant. Interment will take place in Zionville Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, New Brunswick Kidney Foundation or the charity of the donor’s choice.
