Obituary of Anna Brewer

The passing of Anna Marie (Currie) Brewer of Keswick Ridge, NB, wife of the late Thomas Brewer, occurred on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on October 22, 1931 she was a daughter of the late Elbridge and Alma (Timmins) Currie. In 1956, Anna and Thomas opened Brewer’s store in Keswick Ridge. She was a member of the Keswick Ridge United Church, past president and lifetime member of the UCW. Anna was an avid golfer at the Mactaquac Golf Course. Her hobbies included; knitting, crocheting, gardening and most particularly spending time with family and friends. Anna is survived by her son, Edison Brewer (Dianne) of Keswick Ridge, NB; brother Gordon Currie (Marilyn) of Keswick Ridge, NB; grandchildren, Leticia Brewer of Montreal, PQ, Jessica and Alexander Brewer of Keswick Ridge, NB and several nieces and nephews. Beside her husband and parents Anna was predeceased by two infant sisters. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Monday, May 14, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from Keswick Ridge United Church on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 2 pm with Rev. Mary Tingley officiating. Interment will take place in Pickard Merrithew Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Extra Mural Hospital, Pickard Merrithew Cemetery, Canadian Cancer Society, Keswick Ridge United Church, or the charity of the donor’s choice.
