Obituary of Irma Brown
Irma Elizabeth (Tims) Brown passed away peacefully at home on November 26, 2011. She was born in Salamanca Station, New Brunswick on April 27, 1925 to parents Elizabeth M. Briggs and Ernest E. Tims.
Irma was the wife of the late Harlan Brown, she is survived by sons, Andrew Brown (Shelley) of Surrey, BC and John Brown of Harvey, NB; daughters, Carolyn Brown of Waasis, NB, Gloria Brown of Lincoln, NB, Wendy Luke of Harvey, NB and Joyce Aubin of Lincoln, NB; sisters, Audrey Jordan, of Killarney, NB, Marjorie Amos, of Sudbury ON, Mildred (Fred) Kikkert, of New Haven PE, Christine McCaffrey, of Fredericton, NB and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brother in-law, Lenny (Barb) Brown, of Astle NB; sister in-law, Emma Brown, of Astle, NB; nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents, her husband, Harlan Brown (March 17, 2011); two brothers, Ronald and Ernest Tims; one sister, Doris O’Hara; granddaughter and great grand daughter.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 from 11 am until 1 pm with service to follow from the T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel with Canon John Lownds officiating. Pallbearers are David Aubin, Bobby Betts, Jody English, Melvin, Glenwood and Gregory Tims. Interment will take place in Astle Community Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Extra Mural or to the St. Margaret’s Anglican Church. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com.
