Obituary of Catherine Sullivan
The passing of Catherine “Lorraine” (Soucie) Sullivan, wife of the late Robert Sullivan of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton. Born on February 11, 1940 in Devon, NB, she was a daughter of the late Firmin and Alice (McManus) Soucie. Lorraine was a former receptionist at the Rookwood Clinic in Fredericton and attended St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church.
Lorraine is survived by one son, Daniel Sullivan of Fredericton, NB; four daughters, Rosemary Catherine Sullivan, Barbara Elizabeth Houle, Karen Marie Eddy (Randy) and Margaret Eva Sullivan, all of Fredericton, NB; five grandchildren, Chris Desabrais, Amanda Everett, Alicia, Ashley and Caitlyn Houle; one brother, Jerome Soucie (Evangeline) of Moncton, NB; two sisters, Betty Holland (David) of Fredericton, NB and Mary Hughes of Kamloops, BC; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, Lorraine was predeceased by one brother, Thomas Soucie; and one sister, Virginia-Anne Soucie.
At Lorraine’s request there will be no visitation. A Funeral Mass will be held from St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 1 pm with Father Monte Peters as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to St. Anthony’s Church Building Fund or the Canadian Cancer Society.
