Obituary of Rachael Lean

Rachael M. Lean of Fredericton, NB, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2011 at home, following an illness. She grew up in Fredericton, attending local schools and finished her formal education at the Moncton Hospital School of Nursing. She was an OR Nurse at the Fredericton Hospital for 35 years. Most recently she worked in materials coordination for the OR. Her nursing career also took her to Armenia and India on humanitarian missions. The love of her life was her son Jesse. She adored him and he gave her much happiness. Her other loves included music and late nights with family and friends, and her gardens. Her dear sister, Velma Chamberlain, and Jesse’s dad, Brian Lean, also survive her. Her parents, Margaret and Ray Bennett, and her sister, Beverly Dean, predeceased her. At Rachael’s request, there will be no visitation or public services. York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive are entrusted with the arrangement (458-9538).
