Obituary of Alice Barclay

The passing of Alice Faye Barclay of Fredericton, NB, wife of David Barclay occurred on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on November 4, 1948 in Perth Andover, NB, she was the daughter of the late Sheldon and Carmen (Davenport) Murchison. She was a member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church, the church book club and prayer group. Alice enjoyed traveling and loved spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Alice is survived by her daughter, Julie Barclay of Pembroke, ON and son, Ryan (Michelle) Barclay of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Katherine Cleven, Sydney Barclay, Alexa Barclay and Callie Barclay; brothers, Sheldon Murchison of Four Falls, NB, Steven Murchison of Aroostoock Junction, NB and Dwayne Murchison of Hinton, AB; niece, Jennifer Koziel; grand nephews, Ethan, Lachlan and Cameron. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Sharon Murchison. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 2-4 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at Grace Memorial Baptist Church on Sunday, March 4, 2012 at 3 pm with Rev. Doug Hapeman officiating.
