Obituary of Wayne Parker

The passing of Wayne Henry Parker of Richibucto Road, NB, husband of Verna (Hayward) Parker, occurred on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on May 29, 1937 in Barkers Point, NB, he was the son of the late Frank and Reta (Foreman) Parker. He was retired from NB Power. Wayne was a member of Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. In addition to his wife, Wayne is survived by his daughters, Barbara (Allan) Lovean and their son, Jeremy; Sandra (Ron) Lovean and their sons, Jonathan and Joshua; and Tanya Parker (Irvin Luce); sister, Dallice Carter; brother, Allen Parker; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Phyllis McLaughlin, Beatrice Barton and Edith Pledge and brother, Raymond Parker. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Private Family Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Thursday, February 16, 2012 with Rev. Robert Bourque officiating. Pallbearers for the service will be Jeremy, Jonathan, Joshua, Ronnie and Allan Lovean and Irvin Luce; Honourary Pallbearers are Larry Carter, David Ogilive, Rodney and Roger Tingley. Interment will take place in Alexander Gibson Memorial Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation or the Alzheimer Society.
