Sh'Dale, I will always look back with fondness on the days when all that mattered were boys and basketball, not always in that order. You were keeper of my teenage secrets and always kept an empty seat for me on the bus. Keep holding that seat for me until we are able to do hook shots and layups once again.
With fondest memories, G'Dene

Dear Easley Family,
It is so very sad to know about Shirley. Please accept my deepest condolence. During my stay in Fredericton, Shirley's warm and affectionate 'morning hugs' made me feel at home away from home. I really did miss her 'morning hugs' so much after I returned to Bhutan. Her smile, her laughter, her concerns for us (Bhutanese students)always made me want to see her. She was a great spirit and I am glad I got to meet her and know her even if it was just a little more than a year.
The first thing I am going to do tomorrow is to light some butter lamps for her. My prayers are always with her. May her soul find eternal peace and happiness! I will always remember dear Shirley and her smiles.
Yeshey (Bhutanese Student 2005 - 2006)

Having traveled several times to Bhutan with Shirley-Dale, we had lots of long chats during drives throughout the country and over meals. Her favourite topic of conversation was her family; both her children and her siblings. What always came through in these stories was her pride and love of both. She shared lots of entertaining stories about all of you and I'm sure you have as many stories of her. May these memories sustain you at this most difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

To the bereaved family.
I have felt blessed to have known Mam Shirley-Dale Easley when she visited Bhutan to assist us through the English curriculum project. I know that you have lost a special person. She was so charming, kind and always with smiles. Whenever she used to enter the room (work place) she used to always enter with enough cookies for everyone in the room bringing us smiles and joy! She was respected, loved and her sweet memories will always be etched firmly in our hearts miles away. My heartfelt sympathy for the family.
