Obituary of Jeannette Vallee

The passing of Jeannette Madeleine Vallée of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Robert Vallée, occurred on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Shannex Nursing Home. Born on March 27, 1924 in Hawkesbury, ON, she was a daughter of the late Victor Roy and Dora Groulx. Jeannette leaves behind one daughter, Judith Keating Q.C. (Michael) of Fredericton, NB; grandson, Mathieu Keating (Aimee) of New Maryland, NB; one granddaughter, Stephanie Woodworth (Rev. David Woodworth) of Petitcodiac, NB; three loving great grandchildren, Grace, Harrison and Oliver Woodworth; sister-in-law, Madeleine Gratton of Montreal, QC; several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind the loving friends and staff of Shannex Thomas Hall in particular her dear friend, Effie Sinclair and her family; special thank you to Sister Dora; Hospice Volunteer, Brenda Sampson and nurse, Deborah Edmund for their loving support and vigil on her passing. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Georgine and Simonne; two brothers, Emile and Raymond Roy. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Sunday, February 5, 2012 from 2-4 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Anne Des Pays Bas on Monday, February 6, 2012 at 12 noon with Father Donald Savoie as celebrant. Interment will take place in St. Alphonse Cemetery, Hawkesbury, ON. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
