Obituary of Elizabeth Sullivan

The passing of Elizabeth “Betty” Louise Sullivan of Fredericton, NB, wife of Pius “Bud” Sullivan occurred on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on November 21, 1936 in Hainesville, NB, she was the daughter of the late Sherman and Maude (Wiggins) Jones. Betty was very family oriented and especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a wonderful homemaker. In addition to her husband, Betty is survived by her daughter, Sandra Hamilton (Gerry); step children, Joan Cogswell (Basil) and Darin Sullivan (Tanya); granddaughters, Jennifer and Robin Carpenter; step grandchildren, Chance and Brooke Sullivan; great grandchildren, Zoey, Hunter and Zachery Carpenter; sisters, Mable Phipps, Hazel Flowers and Amber Anderson (Marven); brother, Darrel Jones (Clarienda); several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Elizabeth “Beth” Carpenter; sisters, Beverley Jones and Lois Larsen and brother, Elwood “Jock” Jones. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, January 27, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 2 pm with Rev. Peter Thomas officiating. Interment will take place in Sunny Bank Cemetery at a later date.
