Obituary of Jessie Rasmussen

The passing of Jessie Margaret Rasmussen, wife of Robert Hillman Rasmussen of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Monday, January 9, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on January 9, 1945 in Stanley, NB, she was the daughter of Marie (Thomas) Kerr and the late Ashley Kerr. She was a Proofreader for Maritime Law Book. Jessie was a member of Smythe Street Cathedral. In addition to her mother and husband of 50 years, Jessie is survived by her three daughters, Karen (Gary) Rasmussen-Lohnes, Karla (Dave) Palmer and Shelley Jones all of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Jacob and Noah Wilson; brother, Gerald (Ida) Kerr of Truro, NS and Basil (Helen) Kerr of Grand Bay NB; sister-in-law, Charlotte Hansen of New Denmark NB; nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Thursday, January 12, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Smythe Street Cathedral on Friday, January 13, 2012 at 2 pm with Rev. Verner Drost officiating. Interment will take place in Sunny Bank Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Bridges of Canada, Village of Hope Canada or Samaria House.
