Obituary of Alden Brewer

The passing of Alden “Ram” Charles Brewer of Fredericton, NB, husband of Marilyn (Randall) Brewer occurred on Friday, January 6, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on June 26, 1951, he was a son of the late Barry and Lottie (Estey) Brewer. Ram was a carpenter for Kelly’s Homes Ltd. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching the history channel, spending time at the “Blue Bus”, playing old records and loved to tease and torment others. In addition to his wife, Ram is survived by three sons, Robin (Chastity Murdoch) of Fredericton, NB, Jason (Marjorie Barker) of Zealand, NB, Justin (Kayla Hunt) of Upper Kingsclear, NB; a chosen daughter, Angela Roberts-Laouini of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Katelyn and Rachel Brewer, to whom he will always be “Papa”; one brother, Laurel (Myra) Brewer of Zealand, NB; two sisters, Beulah “Bea” Estey and Ardith (Stanley) Crouse, both of Zealand, NB; in-laws, Catherine Brewer, Lorna Brewer, Linda Crouse, Floyd MacNeill, Barbara (Richard) Stinson, Walter (Verley) Randall and June White; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Ram was predeceased by brothers Eldon, Garnet and Barnet; sister, Viola MacNeill and in-laws, Garnet Estey, Theo Crouse, Jean Randall and Leonard White. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 2 pm with Pastor Matthew Maxwell officiating. Honourary Pallbearers will be Cynthia Allen, Derick Brewer, Francis Brewer, Fred Brewer, Gary Brewer, Grant Brewer, Laurel Brewer Jr., Pam Brewer, Patrick Crouse, Nancy DuPlessis, Emma Hanson, Merlin Hanson, Michael MacNeill, Barbara Randall-Stinson and Richard Stinson.
