Obituary of Ambrose Martin

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ambrose Joseph Martin at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on December 04, 2010. Born on July 7, 1935 in Baie St. Anne, NB, he was the son of the late Alexander and Mary Jane (Mazerolle) Martin. He was a bricklayer with the Bricklayers & Travel Trades Union and enjoyed playing cards. Ambrose is survived by five sons, Edward, Gerald (Ford), Michael (Connie) of Fredericton, NB, Ambrose Carroll of Miramichi, NB and Aaron (Leah) Carroll of Moncton, NB; daughter, Raven (Bert) Carroll of Miramichi, NB; six grandchildren, Tiffany, Brittany, Brianna, Jordan, Joey (Toinette) and Davis and former spouse, Joan Ann Martin; two sisters, Anita Cook and Helen Robichaud of Baie St. Anne, NB; one brother, Edward (Irene) of Fredericton, NB and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one infant son, Leslie Joseph Martin; sisters, Jean Howell, Rose McIntyre and infant sister, Agnus; brothers, Alex, Bernard, Leo, Albert and Tilman. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Monday, December 06, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, December 07, 2010 at 1 pm with Father Monte Peters officiating. Pallbearers for this service will be: David MacDonald, Gerald Robichaud, Robert Saunders, Robert Durelle, Robert Robichaud and Charles Hibsman. Interment will take place in St. Anthony’s Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
