Obituary of George Thomas
The passing of George Adolphus Thomas of Fredericton, NB occurred on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Fredericton, NB on August 8, 1962, he was the son of Philip Hoyt and Edna (Eatmon) Murdock and step parents, James Collins of Salem, Mass and the late Majorie Collins; God-mother, Regina Collins of Salem, Mass.
In addition to his parents, George is survived by six children, Cassandra Thomas of Massachusetts, USA, George Jr. “Zach”, Maxine, Sadie, Zanobia and Courtney Thomas all of St. Stephen, NB; eight siblings, Margaret Green of Halifax, NS, Sabina Pitts (Neil) of Grand Bay, ON, Roberta Muse (Keith) of Chicago, IL, James Thomas of Fredericton, NB, Marion Jewett (Rodney) of Fredericton, NB, Virginia Drost (Shawn) of Prince William, NB, Marcus Murdock (Jodi) of Fredericton, NB and John Murdock (Tabatha) of Fredericton, NB; two half-brothers, Anthony Hoyt and Tracy Acker (Melissa), both of Fredericton; one half-sister, Kim Hoyt of Ontario; step sisters, Carol Franklin (Gary) of Salem, Mass and Angie Denton (Steven) of Delaware; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Sunday, December 26, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Monday, December 27, 2010 at 1 pm with Rev. Neville Gosman officiating. Interment will take place in Sunny Bank Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
