Obituary of Winnifred Manuel

The passing of Winnifred Eunice Manuel of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Clinton Emery Manuel, occurred on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on September 19, 1929 in Hartland, NB, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Margaret (Nixon) Melvin. She was a member of the Nashwaaksis Baptist Church and the Harvey Women’s Missionary Society. Winnifred is survived by her daughter, Edith (Lawrence) Walker of Richmond, BC; sons, Richard (Janet) Manuel of Halifax, NS and R. Brent (Joanne) Manuel of Keswick Ridge, NB; grandchildren, Timothy (Stephanie) Walker and Andrea Przybylski (Matthew), John and Mark Manuel, Chelsey and Kristen Manuel; sisters-in-laws, Marilyn Melvin of Woodstock, NB, Phyllis Crawford of Ottawa, ON and Audrey (Tom) Morikawa of Scarborough, ON; brother-in-law, Gerald (Joyce) Estabrooks of Fredericton, NB and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by great granddaughter, Carrie Ruth Przybylski; brothers, Roland and Glenn Melvin. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, January 14, 2011 from 2-4 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Nashwaaksis Baptist Church on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 11 am with Rev. Kevin Culberson officiating. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery, Hartland, NB at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice.
