Obituary of Tancredi Foggiato

The passing of Tancredi “Tony” Foggiato of Fredericton, NB, husband of Jeannette (Arsenault) Foggiato, occurred on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 3, 1934 in Italy, he was the son of the late Giovanni and Regina Foggiato. Tony worked in labour and construction throughout his career. He was a member of the Bricklayers Allied Craftworkers Union. Tony enjoyed winemaking, camping, but first and foremost, he loved his family and children. In addition to his wife, Tony is survived by his daughter, Luigina “Gina” Thomas (Mark) of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Jennifer Simms (Matthew) and Sarah Thomas (fiancé Matthew); great granddaughter, Madelynn Simms; sisters, Gulia and Gianna both of Italy; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Roberto Joseph Foggiato. Although there will be no visitation by request; A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Theresa’s Church on Monday, February 21, 2011 at 11 am with Father John Jennings officiating.
