Obituary of Rita Stewart
With broken hearts, the family of Rita Marie Stewart of Fredericton, NB, sadly announces her passing on Friday, February 18, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 11, 1928 in Tracadie, NB, she was the daughter of the late Olive Shields and Alexander LeBreton. Rita will be lovingly remembered as having a tender heart and unique sense of humor. Her most treasured possession was her family. Rita will be remembered for having an inviting home, always having home baked goodies to share with anyone lucky enough to drop in.
Rita is survived by her cherished son, Donnie (Kim) of Taymouth, NB; beloved daughters, Linda Johnston of Taymouth, NB, Mary Goodine (Don) and Sheila Harris (Ken) all of Fredericton, NB and Theresa Veniot (Peter) of Grand Bay-Westfield, NB; grandchildren, Joey, Nicole, Jeffrey (Heather), Doug (Carol), Donnie, Thomas (Jill), Sarah (Matt) and Melissa (Paul); great grandchildren, Kari-Lynn, Anthony, Molly and Jacob; sisters, Marie Stevens (Leonard) of Saint John, Dilia Doiron (Jonas) of Tracadie, NB, Regina Gerrar (Guy) of Alma, QC and Theresa Franck (Edward) of Cambridge, ON; sister-in-law, Eva of Tracadie, NB; several nieces and nephews; her little angel, Grace held a special place in her heart. In addition to her parents, Rita was predeceased by her sisters, Eva and infant sister, Theresa; brothers, Leo, Jerome, Peter, Victor and Aldee LeBreton.

There will be no visitation by family request. A service will be held at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Multiple Sclerosis Society, Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice.
