Obituary of Alice Morehouse

The passing of Alice Avian (Marr) Morehouse, wife of the late Chester Morehouse, of Fredericton, NB occurred on Sunday, March 6, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 18, 1920 in Woodstock, NB, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Minnie (Goring) Marr. Alice was a former member of the Robin’s Seniors Group, Burtts Corner, NB. She enjoyed flowers, cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She always had a big meal cooking for all the friends and family. Alice is survived by her daughters, Juanita Carr (Glen) of Oromocto, NB and Marie Green of Fredericton, NB; son, Albert Morehouse (Marie) of Lower Sackville, NS; special grandson, Brian Morehouse (Linda) of Keswick Ridge, NB; 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; sister, Doris Marr of St. Andrews, NB; daughter-in-law, Chloe Morehouse of Fredericton, NB; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her son, Milton Morehouse; infant son, Winston; son-in-law, Floyd Green; brother, Albert Marr. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 2 pm with Rev. Carl and Evelyn Brewer officiating. Interment will take place at St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery, Zealand at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Lung Association of New Brunswick would be appreciated by the family.
